Our History
Since our founding in 2004, CV has grown from a small signage business into a multi-disciplinary services provider delivering integrated solutions across infrastructure, construction, asset maintenance, power and signage. We have grown to over 900 team members and have offices located across the east coast of Australia, supporting clients throughout the Asia-Pacific region.
2004
Neil Cox Signs
Andrew McMaster and Ed Phelan established an investment group and acquired Neil Cox Signs, a small signage business with 14 team members and an annual turnover of $1.8 million.
2008
John Love Electrical, Nathan Electrical and Nathan Construction Group
John Love Electrical, Nathan Electrical and Nathan Construction Group were acquired, growing the business to just over 200 team members and a turnover of $36 million. These acquisitions broadened the business’ electrical and construction capability, setting the foundation for future growth.
2008
CV Services Group Established
The business rebranded to CV Services Group, reflecting a clear vision to offer an integrated range of trade services – a business large enough to deliver but still small enough to provide tailored customer service.
2009
CV Infrastructure Services Established
CV Infrastructure Services was established – an Energex-accredited electrical business specialising in street lighting, traffic signals, ITS and overhead reticulation. This expansion strengthened CV’s ability to support critical infrastructure projects.
2015
CV Media & Design Established
CV Media & Design was established with a dedicated team focused on advancing our digital signage offer. This strategic move strengthened CV’s ability to deliver innovative and tailored digital solutions to clients.
2017
Brisbane HQ
All Brisbane-based CV businesses relocated to a single head office and signage manufacturing facility in Hendra. This consolidation of four Brisbane locations into one purpose-built site streamlined operations and strengthened collaboration across the business.
2019
FirePro
CV acquired FirePro, adding wet fire services capability to the business. This enabled CV to offer a full fire services capability across design, installation, certification and maintenance.
2023
Securall
CV acquired Securall, strengthening the business’ security offer with integrated electronic security systems. The acquisition added capability across installation, system integration and long-term maintenance to support the safe and reliable protection of assets and facilities.
2024
Celebrating 20 Years
In 2024, CV marked 20 years since beginning as a small signage business with just 14 team members. Over two decades, CV grew into a multi-disciplinary services provider with more than 900 team members and offices across the east coast of Australia. This milestone was a testament to the hard work, commitment and dedication of everyone who contributed to the business’ growth.
